What ages are appropriate for laser tag?
All of them… Our whole family, down to the four-year-old, enjoys laser tag. Birthday parties are better suited for seven or eight-year-olds. One of the many great aspects of laser tag is its multi-age appeal. This is a sport that grandpa can play with his teenage grandson, and husbands and wives can play against each other. Our laser tag guns weigh just over a pound each which makes them easy to carry for people of all ages.

Where do you play the laser tag games?
Anywhere! Our laser tag equipment works both indoors and out and day or night. You can play at your own home. You might be surprised by how much fun you can have in your own backyard, even if it’s small. We can bring barriers with us for people to hide behind if you’re playing in an open yard or gymnasium. Gameplay is especially fun if you have some obstacles, such as a yard with trees or a large building to play in.

What if we need a location?
If you need a location, you might check with local parks or your church to see if a field can be used. Since our laser tag guns also work indoors, you can use a gym at your local community center, school or church. If you can’t think of one, please contact us for assistance.

How many people can play?
PURE LaserTag has enough equipment for sixteen players at a time. In situations where there are more than sixteen players, we will rotate players into the games. The games can be customized to last 10, 15, 20 minutes or longer. As players are waiting for their next turn, they can use that time to get a refreshment or talk with the other players about their experience. Or, you can plan other activities simultaneously that rotate with laser tag.

What about bad weather?
We don’t see light rain as much of a problem. In fact, it actually adds to the gaming atmosphere. When lightning is present, we will freeze play. You might plan ahead for a second location if needed, but as the saying goes in Memphis, if the weather’s bad, wait ten minutes and it’ll probably change 🙂

How does a typical party flow?
A typical event starts with us arriving 15 to 30 minutes before the start time. We will survey your yard or playing location and make note of any areas where gameplay is off-limits. When the players arrive, we will divide the teams, explain the rules, distribute the laser tag guns, and begin play. Depending upon the type and/or length of games, there will be a few breaks where we can re-assign teams and start new games. If your event is a birthday celebration, cake and ice cream and gift opening can be done before or after playing laser tag.

Is it dangerous?
Despite the “Laser Tag” name, our laser tag equipment uses no real laser. The laser tag guns emit an infrared (IR) beam very similar to a typical television remote. Laser tag is a non-contact sport and beyond the risks involved in running around having fun, there is little chance of injury.

What kind of clothing should we wear?
We recommend comfortable clothing, athletic shoes, and a baseball hat or other hat with a brim on it.
